I recently graduated from Howard University in May 2015 with a Bachelors in Computer Information Systems. I have a strong passion for exploring and teaching web development. I am looking to gain more experience and exposure in the web development field in creating and analyzing major web applications that can stand as a product or help support the underlining operations of a businesss.
In my spare time I volunteer as Ruby on Rails Leader and Mentor Coordinator for Women Who Code , a mentor in Black Girls Code and participate in Hackathons within the DMV area.
I also do freelance work for Almece on the side for developing web applications using Ruby on Rails, HTML/CSS and Javascript.
A non-profit organization dedicated to teaching and sparking interest in African American girls betweent the age of 8-15 in the technology industry.
